During the Beijing Winter Olympics, all 26 venues in the three competition areas will be powered by "green electricity", implying that all venues will be powered by 100% green electric energy for the first time in the Olympic history. The "green electricity" used in the venues of Beijing Winter Olympics mainly comes from the photovoltaic and wind power generation bases in Zhangjiakou, Hebei. Sinoma Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd. Recently, the Organizing Committee for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics released the Sustainable, Toward the Future: Beijing Winter Olympics Sustainability Report (Before the Games), summing up the progress of sustainability work during the preparation for the Winter Olympics. The report pointed out that during the Beijing Winter Olympics, all of the 26 venues in the three major competition areas will use "green electricity", implying that 100% green electricity will be supplied to all venues for the first time in the history of the Olympics.
"Green electricity", also called green power, mainly refers to solar photovoltaic power and wind power in China. The "green electricity" used in all venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics mainly comes from the electricity generated by photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation in Zhangjiakou, Hebei. "Green electricity" is input into the Beijing power grid through the Zhangbei flexible DC power grid project, providing power support for the venues of the Winter Olympics.
Sinoma Blade has provided more than 1,000 sets of blades for more than 60 wind farm projects in Beijing and Zhangjiakou of Hebei, and its products have been upgraded from the 40-meter level in 2008 to the 80-meter level in 2021, with a cumulative installed capacity of nearly 2.6 million kilowatts.
